Join us with Julien Budde, a 23 year old, competitive chess player and experienced chess instructor. Fundamental skills are paired with learning tactics, strategy, middle game planning, and endgame techniques. Campers will learn algebraic chess notations, be challenged with puzzles and, of course, play games. The day will be broken up with our traditional KND camp activities.

About Julien Budde:
Julien's passion for chess started at age five and continued while playing on high school and college teams. He has been mentored by National Grandmasters Jim Voelker and Julian Proleiko. Julien is currently ranked in the top 20% of players nationally. For the past two years he has taught chess at elementary schools five days a week and full time at summer camps in the midwest. He enjoys inspiring and challenging young chess players.
